But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.
Frigid was my first JLA read. I knew that she had a huge fan base, so I was interested to try one of her books. And when I was able to borrow this when for a few days -- and even though it is winter themed -- I knew I had a winner.
Frigid is an easy read that swept me in quickly. The story of two best friends that are forced to finally come to terms with their feelings is always a winner. It builds a relationship that already has a foundation of trust. Kyler and Syd have an awesome friendship that easily wom my heart over.
The Sweetness factor?
Kyler was so incredible sweet to her. Thinking of the little things, like bringing her a drink or making sure she was safe. The steamy scenes were, well *blushes* definitely fits into the New Adult scene well.
Okay, but what annoyed you?
They were best friends but it was like they did not know how to communicate with each other or 'read' each other. And I know they were exploring new territory with feelings now involved, but at times I just wanted to shake them. You know how each other thinks. Ahhh..even with this irking me slightly --- I did still enjoyed the read.
The added dab of suspense gave the story more dimensions. It was no longer a story about two college kids stuck in a cabin -- no they had to survive the storm and whoever is stalking them.
(Highlight here) --> Yeah. There is so major conflict towards the end of the book, but Sydney and Kyler's relationship pulls through.
I'm glad this was my first J. Lynn read. It was sweet, fun, and had a plot going on other than pure romance.
