Stacking The Shelves [5]

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. This meme allows readers to show off the new books that they have recently added to their already crammed book shelves. So jump over there to see the guidelines and to link up. Then be sure to check out what everyone else has added.

My haul this week:

Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…

I have heard so many good things about this book and the author in general. I am excited to give it a try and see for myself.

Maggie Young had the market on normal. Normal friends, normal parents, normal grades...normal life.
Until him.
....
But the darkness is always waiting.

So I just bought this book Thursday and I am already finished.  I have so many mixed feelings about this book.  It touches on so many deep issues, that I am not able to string some stars to it and be done. It is not one of my favorites, but the author did this phenomenal job of revealing these heavy, dark issues (many that are often ignored).

Walters really showed how a girl can lose her head and forget the whole world all in the "name of love."  The relationship screams unhealthy, the issues dark and intense, and the consequences apparent, but the MC pushes onward. And even though I can understand her at points in the story, I usually just wanted to shake some sense into her.

I just don't know how I feel about this book...
I could go on and on about how helping people is wonderful.
But isn't there a limit --especially when it might cause you harm?
And isn't there a point where that person has to help themselves?

Already read this? Let me know what you think.
Curious? The prologue alone lets you know right off the bat that you're in for an emotional ride. Try that first.
And if you read all that...thanks for hearing my rant/thoughts.

What does your haul look like this week? Leave your link and I'll be sure to stop by
