  • This was my first full-length twitter party! And it was a blast!
  • Compare yourself to an animal:

  • I also managed to ace my exams :)
  • (Random Thought: I love how Logan calls Rory "ace" in Gilmore Girls.)
  • And I also wrote a review for Will Grayson, Will Grayson (which is on goodreads and will be posted here soon). But two reviews...*does another dance*
  • I am 25% done with Mind Games and it really intriguing so far.

Mini-Challenge: favorite genre, favorite book within that genre, and your favorite character from the same genre

My taste changes a lot, but recently this is what I have been reading, so this is how I answered:

  • YA (and some NA) contemporary with a bit of romance.
  • The Fault In Our Stars
  • Eli from Along For The Ride: just finished that and he was so sweet.

Thank you to all the lovely ladies that planned this awesome read-a-thon. I am so glad I joined.

How were your goals?

Mini - Challenge: apocalypse

This challenge is hosted by Better Read Than Dead.

I hope I was feeling slightly like Indiana Jones one the way to this bookstore. Every girl shops in boots and a thick jacket right?

My two books and three other items are:

  • Narnia (you know how they have all the books in one gigantic book) -- loophole? Seven in one, ftw.
  • Les Mis -- doubles as thought provoking and thick enough to be a weapon if needed ;)
  • Hammack -- need somewhere to relax and read (and sleep at night) & it's portable
  • Bow with arrows -- I'll have time to practice apparently and I wont have to get to close to my kill food.
  • Knife -- every BA girl needs to carry a knife in her right boot.

Fairy Tales and Twitter: Random Thoughts

  • I warned you about the Tangled pictues
  • Book Beats has a new twitter account: @bookbeats15
  • I hope to be able to hop around more tomorrow (since today was super busy) and see how everyone's goals are going.
  • And hopefully, I'll be able to join the twitter party. Are you planning on joining?

Thanks for stopping by and happy reading :)

Challenge Post [3] -- Page 99 Test

This challenge is hosted by Reviewing Wonderland.

Okay, this challenge is totally new to me. Let's see how this goes....

The book I chose is will grayson, will grayson -- which is the next book that I'm planning on reading in the read-a-thon :) Be sure to link your post and I'll stop by.

First, the goodreads summary:

One cold night, in a most unlikely corner of Chicago, two teens—both named Will Grayson—are about to cross paths. As their worlds collide and intertwine, the Will Graysons find their lives going in new and unexpected directions, building toward romantic turns-of-heart and the epic production of history’s most fabulous high school musical.

Okay time for page 99 --

Alright so, a guy -- the first Will? -- is texting a girl named Maura. Will and Maura are apparently good friends because they banter some. He is asking her to cover his spot in the mathletes because he has to go to Chicago with his mom. I don't think the part about going with his mom is a lie -- but he was glad that he didn't have to say that his grandmother had died. This is apparently where he will eventually meet the other Will Grayson.

I didn't really have a lot to work with since most of the page was text messaging. The whole page, not just the text, were wrote in lower case though. I'm not really sure what the lack of capitalization is about and can't decided if it annoys me.

Capitalization or not...I am excited to give this book a try. I love Green (who doesn't?) and I have heard some good stuff about Will Grayson, Will Grayson. So we shall see soon.

Have you read Will Grayson, Will Grayson? What was your page 99 challenge post?

Challenge Post [2] -- Cover Re-do

Okay. I am not artistic. Not at all. So this challenge was a bit of a struggle for me. And before you go any farther, I just want to state that I do like the original cover. I just chose Fire because I thought it would be an easy cover to remake.

Be sure you all hop around this challenge, because I've already saw some awesome re-dos. This challenge is hosted by Tumbling Books.

Again, I love the original and I am not artistic. This challenge is a little painful for me -- but we must march omward. So this what we have... I haven't read Fire yet, but I can't wait to pick it up.

How's day two of the read-a-thon going for everyone?

Challenge Post [1] -- Teaser Tidbits

This challenge is hosted by Shelf Addiction apart of the Summer Lovin' read-a-thon. Jump over there to see the rules and to get involved.

Teaser 1: “Why not?” He seemed agitated. I liked it.

“Because I am a llama and you are a bird and WE are not compatible.”

Teaser 2: “Handsome, fictional men were so much easier to stomach than real life ones who smelled of Christmas and looked like a Calvin Klein model”
